Sisterhood Meetings
Regular Meetings: 2nd Thursday of the month
Board Meetings: 1st Thursday of the
month
(Board Meetings are open)

The Walton Way Temple has an extremely active Sisterhood. We
voluntarily take on much of the Temple work that needs to be done such as high holiday
babysitting and the floor of the Bart D. Wittenberg Religious School. We sponsor a
number of programs and speakers throughout the year on women's issues and general
interest. We usually meet on the first Thursday of each month when we often have a
program. Please join us!
Lots of things: interesting and informative programs, friendships to be
made and renewed, opportunities to be involved in various projects we
support in the Temple, in our community and worldwide through our national
organization, women of reform Judaism. Sisterhood offers us all a way to
make a difference. We need every woman in our community and congregation
to be a member.
The
Women's Seder is an evening of special closeness, with readings that
pertain to a woman's place in the history of Judaism.
Sisterhood
sponsors a monthly Rosh Chodesh discussion group, covering a wide array of
women's issues
The
"Woman of the Year" Award is given annually at the May Donor
Dinner. Recognition is also given to those members who have
contributed to the success of Sisterhood's programs during the year.
Sisterhood
Shabbat Weekend is a three day event which celebrates the contributions of
women to Jewish daily life.
Sometimes
the best part of the meeting is after the meeting, when our members
continue the conversations and planning for upcoming programs
